A silly little experiment in my kitchen.
This smol little guy is an old laptop I "liberated" from a previous job—basically rescued at the last second before it got yeeted into a landfill. Now it lives up on a kitchen shelf, doing its best.
It’s not powerful, it’s not fancy, but it tries really hard, okay?
These days it’s playing server-chan, quietly humming away between a toaster and some cereal, running a Cowrie honeypot and watching all the weird little bots come poke at it. Just sitting there like, "oh no I am vulnerable… please don’t hack me…" while absolutely logging everything.
Nothing special. Just a second-chance machine, a bit of curiosity, and a steady stream of internet nonsense. Very brave. Very smol.
If you want to try the honeypot yourself, ssh root@ianboen.com - a lot of passwords will work, including admin123 ;)
